ADLA’s highly successful Deposition Boot Camp is designed for every attorney serious about improving his or her deposition and litigation skills.

    Two Days of Extensive Training

The two-day program combines lectures from ADLA’s seasoned faculty members with practical exercises to learn and apply critical skills to effectively take and defend depositions. It includes demonstrations by faculty members as well as break-out sessions in small groups during which the students are given an opportunity to examine and cross-examine both lay and expert witnesses. The students are then critiqued and provided with constructive feedback by the faculty members.

    Training Based on Actual Case

The program was developed by ADLA members Helen Johnson Alford and Andrew C. Clausen based upon an actual case tried by Mr. Clausen. ADLA is grateful for the concept developed by Ms. Alford and Mr. Clausen as well as their devotion of time to assure the overall excellence of the program. Defense associations in other states have instituted and modeled similar deposition boot camps based upon the extraordinary success of ADLA’s program.

Learn How to Perform Expert Depositions

ADLA’s Deposition Boot Camp offers lawyers the opportunity to gain the knowledge, experience and confidence needed to perform effectively in depositions in order to enhance their trial preparation skills to successfully represent their clients. Boot Camp was presented twice in 2005 and is now held in mid-March of each year.
